Add New Words

You can add your own words and pictures to the tools within the resources section of this software.  This can have many uses, especially for creating customised spelling tests, or printing customised flash cards.

You can also replace an existing image within the rest of the software by following these same steps.

Please note that to do this you must have 'Sign to Me' installed on your computer and not running from the CD.

    • Create an image using a suitable software package.  The image must have a size of  227 x 164 pixels.
    • Save the image as a .jpg or .jpeg file (eg. starfish.jpg)
    • Copy this file into the 'pics' folder of your 'Sign to Me' installation directory folder (usually 'c:\Program Files\Sign to Me\pics\').
    • Remove the .jpg or .jpeg file extension from your image (starfish.jpg ? starfish). - If you cannot see the file extension you must enable this in windows (visit our website for information on how to do this).

Important: If you are updating an existing image you must delete the original file before you rename your new one.
